Brigit Valusiakova, PhD.
Brigit is a fully qualified English teacher, a qualified social worker and the founder of the Slovak English Language Studio.
Qualification: has the Trinity TESOL (Trinity College London Certificate in teaching English to speakers of other languages), which she gained in Oxford, England.
Background: born in the capital city of the Slovak Republic, Bratislava and spent more than 8 years studying, living and working abroad. While living in England, she worked as a Qualified Social Worker in London, Oxford and Kent.
She studied English as a foreign language in Dublin, Ireland and London, UK.
Related work experience: has taught Slovak language to foreigners and English as a foreign language to various age groups as well as at various levels of English from elementary to advanced, for 11 years.
She has considerable experience of combining her teaching skills, social work skills and knowledge of psychology to successfully prepare students for the process of job hunting.
Philip Brooks, LLB
Philip is a fully qualified English teacher and a qualified lawyer (non-practising since 1999).
Qualification: has the Cambridge DELTA (Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults), which he gained in Budapest, Hungary.
Background: born in England and has lived in the Slovak Republic for 18 years.
Related work experience: has been teaching English as a foreign language at all levels for more than 16 years. He has many years experience of preparing students for Cambridge ESOL exams, including FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS. He is also an experienced teacher of business, financial, legal and medical English.
Having an English law degree and 20 years of legal practice, he is skilled and experienced in proofreading English legal documents.
